I love being apart of your day! I look forward to seeing you taste a piece of cake and discuss the colors and style that you have chosen for your wedding! It's an exciting time (I've been there!) and the process is very special.


Taking details and incorporating them into a very special dessert that reflects your style, a personal hobby or special event is very rewarding! 

I am a cake designer and sugar artist with a background in fine art and graphic design. I got my start working at Toni Patisserie in Chicago. Several years later, while working at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center in Cedar Rapids, I was offered the position of cake designer and worked there for four years before opening Sugar Flower Cake Design.


In 2016 I began teaching Basic, Advanced, and Wedding Cake Design for the Baking and Pastry Program at Kirkwood Community College. I teach students the basics of building a well-made cake, expose them to creating edible flowers, and the latest trends in the cake world.


In 2019 I opened Sugar Flower Cake Design, specializing in custom-designed wedding and groom cakes for clientele that specifically embodies their style and compliments their celebrations!
